The colour is pale pink. Numerous tiny bubbles are playful and lively, mousse is firm. On the nose it is showing some development and maturity. gentle, delicate, reminiscent of ripe wild strawberries, discrete spices, ripe red apples, bit yeasty as well. Very dry on the palate, effervescence is still rather intense, and bubbles are slightly firmer, but they remain very fine. Acidities are adding to the vibrancy and verticality. Character on the palate is intense, well-defined, and rather complex. With a long, enjoyable, clear-cut finish.

It can be served as an aperitif, though DP Brut Furmint will perform this job better. We suggest pairing it with warm starters, fish, lobster several other dishes with delicate taste. Perfect summer drink!

2018 was marked by huge downy mildew pressure in June, followed by a period of warm and dry weather in July and August. Rain in early September rushed winegrowers to pick early ripening varieties quickly while late-ripening varieties enjoyed a nice warm Indian summer. Wines of 2018 vintage in our winery are marked by low to moderate alcohol levels, vibrant acidities and clear, defined varietal characteristics. A classic Styrian vintage.

Classic, bottle fermented, with 42 months ageing on the lees.

It is perfect now but will be in perfect shape for the following 2-3 years. Drink between 2024-2027.
