For over 880 years, Admont Abbey has cultivated a wine culture of the highest standards in northeastern Slovenia. Across 73 hectares of prime vineyard locations, we combine centuries of knowledge with state-of-the-art cellar technology. The result is distinctive wines that are among the most awarded in their region worldwide.
Limestone & Marl
100% marl soil. Steep SW slopes for elegant Sauvignon Blancs & Chardonnays.
Cool nights & permeable soils. Perfect for wines with precise finesse and fruit.
Stony soils & high temperature shifts. Gives the wines a vibrant, crisp acidity.
Sand & Clay
Historic site on sand and clay soils. Powerful structure for Furmint & Riesling.
Deep loam and sandy soils. A terroir for extract-rich, mineral wines.
Pure sandy soil & cool microclimate. The home of our precise Furmint Ilovci.
One of our steepest sites. Sandstone provides immense complexity and depth.
Slate & Loam
Schist & loam on windy plateaus. Ideal for dense, spicy Blaufränkisch wines.
High humus content and prime sunny exposure. Wines of great power and ageing potential.
Cultivation according to strict EU guidelines for ecological balance.
We completely forgo artificial fertilisers in favour of purely organic nutrients.
No chemical weedkillers are used, ensuring the protection of our soils.
Over 80% of our grapes are carefully harvested by hand.
1139 - The Origin
Archbishop Konrad of Salzburg confirms the donation of the estate, including its vineyards, to Admont Abbey. The beginning of nearly 900 years of wine culture.
1712 - The Codex
Abbot Anselm Lierzer writes the legendary "Instructiones". In 43 points, he defines the highest standards for work in the vineyard – a law of diligence that we still follow today.
1997 - The Renaissance
The Rebirth. Modern Dveri-Pax is founded. Over the next decade, we built our future by replanting every single vineyard with new, premium vines.
2002 – The First Vintage
The Premiere. After years of dedicated vineyard work, our very first vintage is bottled – marking the beginning of a new era of excellence.
2007 - Tradition meets modernity
High-Tech in Historic Walls. The 300-year-old horse stables are transformed into one of Slovenia's most modern wine cellars. With a capacity of 500,000 liters and state-of-the-art technology, we ensure ultimate precision.
2014 - A HISTORIC REVIVAL
With the comprehensive renovation of Schloss Jarenina (Jaringhof), we breathed new life into these storied walls, creating the perfect stage for our contemporary award-winning gastronomy.

Today, DVERI PAX is more than just a winery – it is a destination for all senses. While our 20-year-old vines produce world-class wines in the cellar, our culinary offerings have reached new heights: Our restaurant has been awarded 3 Gault&Millau toques.
