Sparkling wine
The colour is pale golden, very similar to 2017 edition. Bubbles are smaller, fine, with bit abundant foam. Restrained on the nose, serious, bit sharp, still very youthful. Green apples, white flowers with a touch of yeasty notes, with time, when warmed a bit, we can detect fine spices. Very dry, the driest edition to date, with vivid acidity levels. Bit robust texture but mousse is delicate, still youthful. The character on the palate show more complexity than nose adding bread crust, roasted hazelnuts and brioche and meadow flowers to the equation. Very precise and pure showing blanc de blancs quality. Perfect appetiser. Should not be too cold for the complete experience.
Furmint Brut is a great aperitif and makes perfect match with delicate freshly served seafood, cured meat, smoked trout, or salmon.
Cold April and May broadcasted a rather late harvest, but a very hot June almost completely compensated the delay, though not completely. July and August were warm but not hot and nice weather in September enabled grapes to be picked well into October. 2019 brought very good yields and quality is very dependent of the skills of the winemakers. At Dveri-Pax we are very happy with the results. We produced classic wines with profound varietal aromatic profiles and moderate even low alcohol levels typical for the region.
Classic, bottle fermented, with 36 months ageing on the lees.
It is ready now but will be in perfect shape for the following 3-4 years. Keep until 2023-2026.
WINE IS CULTURE AND ALWAYS HAS VALUE AS A LINK TO SOCIETY.
