Welschriesling is the most planted grape variety in Slovenia as well as in our wine district. The colour of our 20245is pale lemon yellow. Youthful and restrained, very fruity on the nose showing clear fruit forward character dominated by continental fruits such as apple, pear as well as citrus fruit. There is touch of yeast and peaches.

It is bone dry on the palate with moderate acidities and lighter body. A touch of dissolved CO₂ adds to the freshness of the wine. Flavour character is milder, balanced with plenty of youth and vibrancy. The aftertaste has a medium length and is pleasant We produced yet another really nice Welschriesling.

This Welschriesling 2025 is not picky and will fit most of the casual foods and occasions. A great summer or BBQ wine. A real friend.

Vintage 2025 had a mild winter, early budburst and flowering about one week ahead of average. Flowering was quick and even. Summer was warm and dry, with just sufficient rainfall to enable optimal ripening. Harvest started at the end of August, the second earliest to date, in good conditions. Grapes were healthy, fully ripe and quantitatively above recent vintages.
