Welschriesling is the most planted grape variety in Slovenia as well as in our wine district. The colour is pale lemon yellow, classic for a young Welschriesling from our region. Restrained, gentle on the nose, quite fruity and youthful showing ripe yellow apples, lemon and grapefruit.

Dry on the palate with lighter body and plenty of freshness. Balanced acidities are, expectedly, on the higher side. The character on the palate is restrained as well and well defined. There is a mid-long vibrant aftertaste. We produced yet another really nice Welschriesling.

This Welschriesling is not picky and will fit most of the casual foods and occasions. A great summer or BBQ wine. A real friend.

2023 winter was mild, with almost no snow. Spring was cold and wet. Flowering started rather late on the 10^st of June in warm, nice weather. Summer was rainy with several storms. On the 4^th of August catastrophic floods hit central part of the country. Maintaining the grape health was extremely challenging. Warm summer after the 10^th of August allowed for a more relaxed continuation. Harvest started on the 10^th of September and finished on the first week of October We obtained extremely drinkable wines with a slightly lower alcohol level, aromatic and with a well-expressed varietal character. We can talk about a very good, typical vintage for Štajerska Slovenija.
